CAMPAIGN COMES TO A CLOSE

Thank you for helping us reach our goal, almost!

Thanks to our incredible community of supporters, we reached the 98% mark of our $325,000 goal, $318, 256.00.  With these funds we will be able to improve the lives of those in our community through our 13 agencies and programs such as Day of Caring, Readers & Leaders and various community events.  We are incredibly grateful to everyone who donated to the 2019-2020 campaign from corporate donors to school children and everyone in between who wanted to make a difference by donating.

“Successful campaigns don’t happen without a combined effort of a hard-working team.  I would like to personally thank Floyd and Patty Wininger, the United Way Board, Loaned Executives, and the Allocations Committee members for their commitment and work on this campaign.  We could not have done this without each of you!” stated Betty Beck, United Way Board Chairman.

We are blessed to be a part of something bigger, working together with agencies such as CASA of Southwest OK, Christians Concerned, Douglass East Side Senior Citizens Center, Duncan Area Literacy Council, Duncan Senior Citizens Center, Gabriel’s House, Girl Scouts of Western Oklahoma, HeartLine 2-1-1, Legal Aid Services of Oklahoma, Marie Detty Youth & Family Services, Marlow Samaritans, Safe Center and Velma Senior Citizens Center. Our board members Betty Beck - Chairman, Chris Genn - Vice Chairman, Brad Bull - Treasurer, Carl Buckholts – Secretary, Zac Pogue – Past Chairman, Adrianne Arrington -BBQ Event Coordinator, Curtis Holmes – Allocations Chairman as well as Ryan Bell, Lourie Bleem, Lisa Byford, Jessica Garvin, Jared Head, Brian Kriss, Lucy Parker, Sherri Brown and Joshua Albert.

Floyd Wininger added “Patty and I are thrilled that Stephens County gave so generously to the United Way! 98% of goal reached during less than optimal economic conditions is a testament to neighbors giving to neighbors to help them have a better life.  Thank you for living UNITED!!”

While the campaign has closed, contributions can still be made to the United Way of Stephens County campaign or the COVID-19 relief fund.  D.A.E.D.F. has already made a significant donation to local food banks to help displaced workers and the United Way office has received over $1,200 to be dispersed as needed solely for the COVID-19 pandemic.  Your donation can be mailed to P.O. Box 1632, Duncan, OK  73534 for additional information please contact our staff, Jana Marks or Helen Stewart at (580) 255-3648.
